Most conditions that require IV therapy are those patients who are at risk of dehydration and/or severe malnourishment.  IV Therapy can also be used for medication intake during emergencies.

Because IV Therapy is reasonably more complex to administer compared to oral or other medication forms, a registered nurse or certified medical professional has to handle the procedure.  Among such medications or procedures are:
